FIRST FINISH EMPLOYEES BECOME LEED ACCREDITED

TWO MEMBERS OF FIRST FINISH BECOME LEED ACCREDITED PROFESSIONALS (AP)

Columbia, MD, June 30, 2009: First Finish Inc., a Maryland-based general contractor is proud to announce that two members of its management team: David Puglisi and Jason Stock have become Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals (AP) by The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) which is the third party certifying body for The United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
Mr. Puglisi, Director of Operations for First Finish, has in-depth knowledge of green building practices, and now will be able to help coordinate project teams on-site with specific LEED credit obtaining strategies. Mr. Stock, Director of Business Development, and a board member of various industry and sector-specific associations, will share the concepts learned through LEED with organizations and companies looking to implement “Green Guidelines” as part of their memberships’ self-certifying movements.

Our projects customarily involved recycling carpet, underlayment, acoustical ceiling tile and packaging from cased goods among other items. Our purchasing department has always sought suppliers that promote many of the eco-friendly beliefs we champion. Having members of our team become LEED Accredited Professionals is just one more step in the right direction. Both Mr. Puglisi and Mr. Stock received their accreditation under the commercial interiors (CI) stream. Accreditation guarantees the understanding and retention of vital environmental considerations, requirements, and intents of focus.  It provides a standard for professional participation in the design and construction of high performance commercial spaces.
