FIRST FINISH TO RENOVATE THE LITTLE NELL IN ASPEN, CO

FIRST FINISH AWARDED RENOVATION CONTRACT OF THE LITTLE NELL IN ASPEN, COLORADO

First Finish Inc., a Maryland-based hospitality general contractor has been awarded the contract to renovate The Little Nell, a Five Star / Five-Diamond resort that is the only ski in/ski out resort in Aspen, Colorado managed by The Aspen Ski Company.

First Finish Inc. is collaborating with the owner’s representative Jones Lang Lasalle, Rowland + Broughton Architecture and Urban Design and Holly Hunt to reinvent this luxurious hotel, nestled in the clouds of the Rocky Mountains.  

The project involves a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation that will revitalize all guestrooms and guest bathrooms, corridors and suites. The project will span twelve weeks and all 92 rooms will be under construction for the duration of the project. Rooms will feature barn style doors at the closets, handpicked Italian marble on the floors and walls and Black American Walnut that will be installed throughout the mini bars, closets, fireplaces and vanities.  

Special consideration has been taken in regard to working with the local community and neighboring properties, in an effort to minimize impact to those businesses and residences that surrounds this beautiful property. Logistics in a small community such as Aspen can be particularly challenging and only with the proper planning and project experience can an operation such as this take place without causing unneeded stresses to the community.

In staying true to its environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility policies, First Finish will be recycling carpet and flooring from the project. Current furniture pieces will be donated and reused by Habitat for Humanity and current entry and closet doors will be chipped and shredded and materials will be processed as components of construction and other related materials for future use.  First Finish Inc, has also worked hand and hand with the Design team to select sustainable materials and renewable materials where possible to add to the eco practices that all involved in the project have adopted.
