Assistant Project Manager

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Project Manager with developing budgets for projects.

  • Collect and review subcontractor estimates for the Project Manager to review.

  • Attend construction meetings and follow up on tasks to be performed.

  • Assist in disseminating and monitoring adherence to preparing and maintaining project schedules, including the scheduling of subcontractors, material and resource procurement, and ensuring on-time project completion.

  • Conduct field inspections and supervision, including site visits as required.

  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and filed appropriately.

  • Assist in preparation of subcontracts and purchase orders.

  • Ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.

  • Enforce the safety policies and practices of the company.

  • Distribute RFIs and change orders.


  • BS/BA degree preferably in construction or project management.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the construction/renovation field.

  • Must be a quick thinker, problem solver, and be able to handle difficult situations as they arise on the jobsite.

  • Will be required to travel to jobsites.

  • Must be a team player and maintain a quality team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Bilingual is a plus.
