Project Highlights
Multi-floor sequencing allowed work on up to eight floors simultaneously to accommodate the hotel’s occupancy schedule.
Compression strategies, including additional manpower and a second plumbing crew, mitigated delays caused by changing guest occupancy and event-driven restrictions.
Coordination with the property to secure multiple elevators helped offset 10–12 minute travel times from the yard to the working floors.
Complex custom millwork in the executive suites delivered a standout design feature.
Nearly 200 subcontractor personnel and nine First Finish team members successfully managed a fast-paced, nine-floor renovation while turning rooms on schedule.
Overview
Project Scope
A comprehensive renovation across nine guestroom floors, including upgraded guestrooms, corridors, and redesigned executive suites on floors 26 and 27 of the main tower. The project introduced new tile in entry and bathroom areas, refreshed guestrooms with new carpet and vinyl wallcovering, and installed all-new FF&E throughout. Executive suites received fully redesigned layouts featuring custom millwork that blends modern finishes with historic charm.
The project demanded complex logistical planning due to restricted service elevator access and long travel paths from the yard to work areas—requiring detailed sequencing of subcontractors to maintain progress and avoid inspection delays. Sustainable construction practices supported the property’s LEED certification goals.
